Story
Hi there
I’ve created this fundraising page to support Bowel Cancer Australia, a 100% community-funded national charity dedicated to prevention, early diagnosis, research, quality treatment and care, so everyone affected by bowel cancer can live their best life.
I was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 Bowel Cancer in November of last year, without any symptoms or signs whatsoever. It was a very traumatic and overwhelming experience how the diagnosis played out, the emergency surgery, and now the chemotherapy and journey to being Cancer free. This has completely changed my life and how I look at life itself. Raising whatever funds I can so that others can prevent or catch this thing early means everything to me.
I will be running this marathon whilst still only halfway through Chemo.
